Instructions
We recommend following our step-by-step instructions below. Our guaranteed concealed carry holsters are unparalleled in construction and are known for their ease of use. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about our quality handcrafted inside the waistband holsters.
1. Before trying on your new Comfort-Tuk IWB holster for the first time, test fit the UNLOADED gun that you will be using with the holster. You will notice the gun fits easily into the holster with very little retention. This is because a Comfort-Tuk IWB holster is designed to provide maximum retention when being worn against the body.
2. Before making any adjustments, clip the holster in its’ proper position without the unloaded gun being installed in the holster. The proper position would be 5 o’clock for a right hand holster and 7 o’clock for a left hand holster.
3. It is recommended that the Comfort-Tuk IWB holster be worn with a good quality, heavy leather belt at least 1 ½” wide. A proper belt is very important to a proper fit.
4. After clipping the new Comfort-Tuk IWB holster to the belt, adjust the belt to your normal tightness. In some instances, the belt may need to be tighter or looser by one notch.
5. Place your unloaded gun in the Comfort-Tuk IWB holster and move the clips back and forth on the belt until the gun can be drawn comfortably. Should you need to change the cant of the gun (rake), this can be easily accomplished by raising or lowering the clips on either side of the holster by simply removing the screw at the bottom of the clip and raising or lowering the front or back of the holster. Each side has 2 extra positions for this adjustment. It is suggested to move only one side at a time until a proper fit is obtained. Do not over tighten the screws, snug them only. Over tightening can damage the leather.
6. If you find more rise is needed than the clips will provide, Comfort-Tuk, LLC, has clips available that are shorter than the standard clips and when placed in the bottom most hole, will provide extra lift. These clips are available thru Comfort-Tuk for $5.95 each.
7. Your Comfort-Tuk IWB holster is designed for total concealment and can be obtained by tucking your shirt over the Kydex® part of the holster and behind the back of the metal clips. The only part that will be seen when properly worn is the outside of the black metal clips attached to the belt. The shirt will completely conceal your weapon.
Bear in mind, when wearing your gun in this fashion, it will change the dynamics of how you draw your gun. You should practice drawing with an UNLOADED gun until you are satisfied with the results.
